SCHOOL CLUB FOOTBALL
Objective and Targets
- Using football as a mean to attract children to come to school, attend classes inorder to reduce absenteeism and dropout.
- Incorporating mentorship program for the children into football sessions to broaden lesson methods for behavioral and mindset change for education.
- Removing gender-marginalization on girls participation in football through the girls' football team.
- Developing and improving football skills and talent of children inorder to prepare them for future opportunities (scholarships and professional footballing).
- Nurturing a movement of young girls who are focused toward advocating for a menstrual stigma-free school environment
The School Teams
- 2 schools in fully active participation and football development as center school. (67 active players, 32 girls and 35 boys)
- 6 associated schools on partial partcipation (an open play team of over 4,500 children in the schools
Coaching Team
- A team of six coaching managment members with experience in local sports who are passionate about child education.
- 1 qualified Teacher, two experienced local football officials in the District and 3 Bachelor's Degree Graduates working with Sky Girl Initiative from different Academic Disciplines
How we operate the Football Project
- We develop football team in schools called "Huracan FC Sky club Uganda". Two nearby schools (Nabuganyi C/U and Nabuganyi R/C) are Center-Program Schools. Both the boys' and girls' teams are fully structured.
- Children are trained three times (days) every week from 4:30pm to 6pm on football skills and knowledge.
- We conduct friendly games for atleast one of the teams after every two weeks.
- Associate schools have on-spot training every month which allow the Center-Program Schools to visit them and have combined training with them, identify challenges faced, share school and football experiences and identify potential great players for better recommendations.
- We also conduct after match mentorship and child guidance to improve on the social behavior and mindset for education.
- There are other nin football activities that comes in when need arises to improve on the social, cultural and future educational journey of a child.

Boys' Sky Team in the only two combined major schools.
